The MacGregor is currently of the water on its trailer and ready for showing.

This MacGregor 26 is immaculate and in near showroom condition and has every option available for this trailer sailor.

This boat is ideal for the young family who want to avoid the costs associated with high moorage fees at a marina. There are no launch fees simply pop it in the water at a boat ramp and easily lift up the mast to go sailing for the weekend with the family. After your on water adventure simply pop it out of the water and onto the trailer to drive home. With its shallow draft of less than a foot with the keel up you can explore shallow bays where others fear to tread and even pull it up on a beach for a picnic and swim.

This find MacGregor has a totally enclosed cockpit area with a Bimini and side curtains which give you additional living space onboard. This boat was barely used And there are les than a hundred hours on the trusty four stroke Honda 50 motor That will propel this sailing vessel along at a speed that you can actually waterski behind.

Trailer sailing long-established in Europe is the future in North America for affordable family fun on the water.

The MacGregor 26 is one of the fastest and best handling of the trailerable cruising sailboats. It is easy to sail, and easy to trailer to your favorite sailing waters. You don’t need an expensive mooring. It can be stored on its trailer, launched at any ramp, and rigged in just minutes.

Discription:

Looking from the frront of the cabin, you can see the large entry. Unlike most sailboats, getting in and out of the cabin is easy. The removable step conceals the ballast tank filling valve. The head is to the left, and the big rear berth is directly below the cockpit. You have to get into the $40,000 class to find comparable accomidations in a powerboat. Notice that there is no cisiible wood on the boat, so maintenance is east. the cabin is carpeted, and we use high quality fabrics throughout. There are several good spots for electronics. On the right, just behind the galley, you can see where we mounted a VHF radio.

The rear berth is a large as a king sized bed. Full sitting headroom over a large area. there is a small storage area under the berth. A bearth this size is rare in a boat of any size. The 26 will sleep 6. The cockpit seats over 6 feet long. The wheel steering is standard and takes up less room than a tiller. It makes the boar a lot easier to sail. The optioinal cushions provide extra comfort. The steering seat, shown in the closed position, combines a lot of security with the convenience of a walk thru transom.

Anywhere you can car-launch a 15 foot rowboat, you can launch a MacGregor 26. The MacGregor 26 will sail into places most other boats simply cannot go. Unlike most other trailorable cruisers, the 26 has a centerboard that retracts completely into the hull, allowing the boat to be launched and beached without fear of damage to the centerboard system.
