We will assist you in establishing a realistic price to ensure a sale without disappointment. Your list price needs to be realistic. A used boat price will vary considerably with market conditions and its relative condition to similar boats factoring in accessories and upgrades. A marine survey from a respected boat surveyor greatly enhances your prospect of an early sale and assures the buyer of an impartial opinion on the condition and seaworthiness of the vessel.
You can facilitate a sale and maximize your return by insuring your boat is clean and in Bristol condition, with a buffed and waxed hull, all bright-work varnished and a good coat of antifouling. Interior surfaces should be clean, bright, odor free and organized without clutter. Any equipment or items including charts etc. that will not remain on the boat when sold, should be removed in advance. Inspect your standing and running rigging and replace tattered lines and sails.
Construct a library to include operation manuals for the engine, generators, and navigation instruments along with receipts for routine preventative maintenance. If the vessel has been used commercially, have available your vessel’s documents for ship stability and all regulatory licences and inspections available for examination.

An Individual Member and Director of CSTA was elected Dec 17, 2011 to the executive as Secretary of this organization representing Canadian Tallships and sail training vessels.
Brigantine Inc/Canadian Tallship Expeditions and the Sail Training Vessel, St Lawrence II participated in all the Canada 150 Tall ship port events on the Great Lakes and Maritimes in 2017. During 2018 to present, we have operated in the Great Lake and upper St. Lawrence with trainees from across Canada. This included a number of youths from Nunavut and the Yukon Territories.
